She has really got some awesome decorating talent! Jenn always has the cutest posts and I’m thrilled she is part of this blog hop!
Today I’m going to show you how I added a little “Love” into my home, just the right amount of special touches! I love neutral and light tones and I think blush pink is so beautiful and not too crazy or too much. I was never a huge Valentine’s Day décor fan, but I found some fun yet simple ways to add some “love” to your home with out adding too much pink!
This is my cute little hutch I have in my kitchen that my grandmother gave me. I added this sweet little heart banner, some coffee stirrers and a light pink and cozy candle. Believe it or not, everything is from the Target dollar spot! I know, that’s amazing isn’t it? This is reason number 3,853 of why I love target, ha! The little puffy hearts came in a pack for one dollar and there were enough for one banner and a bunch of stirrers.
– So, it’s pretty easy. All I really did was take some thread, laid it down on the table making it a little longer than how big I wanted the banner to be.
– Hot glue the hearts on, using only a dab so its not too heavy. The most important tip is to make sure you put the glue and thread on at the TOP of the heart. You don’t want it to be in the middle or lower or else it will flip and topple over when its hung.
The coffee stirrers were also extremely simple!
– I just took cake pop sticks and hot glued the heart onto the top. I added a little felt onto the back on top so it made both sides look pretty. I don’t like when hot glue is visible! It’s ugly, isn’t it?
Now that was super quick and simple wasn’t it? I made a blog post on ‘Valentines day finds on amazon!’ Another favorite go to shop! You can check it out here.
I hope you enjoyed this cute little DIY! I always love a good quick and cheap one!
